Hula’s work involves developing new hole transporting materials for use in organic and perovskite photovoltaics. The overall objective is to reduce both the processing temperature and the cost required to fabricate these essential performance enhancing interlayers in addition to improving cell efficiency.

Prior to joining the group Huda worked with
Dr Russell Binions at QMUL developing semi-transparent dye sensitised solar cells for building integration. For this work she was awarded the best project prize in the sustainable energy engineering field from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
